State-approved
programs All HOMEPLACES are
'State-certified' facilities. Our Senior Healthcare Apartments provide assisted living in a
what is called, a "Residential Care
Apartment Complex" (frequently abbreviated RCAC). Our
Alzheimer's and Dementia Units are called, "Community Based
Residential Facilities (frequently abbreviated CBRF). This means
state surveyors visit and assess the care we give as well as provide
ongoing advice on our operations. The regional Office of Quality
Assurance -- an agency overseen by the Department of Health and Family Services,
provides this assistance. See: DHFS
administrative code 89 for RCAC's. Chapter 83
discusses CBRF's.
Our goal is to help tenants and residents retain their freedom and independence by
having their own apartment homes, while receiving selected services.
Couples can stay together. Family members are encouraged to visit
often.
HOMEPLACE programs are certified to work with public assistance
programs. Please click on "Financial
Considerations" for more detailed information.
